Antitrust agency fines Almaty power company for abuse of dominant position

ALMATY. June 19 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) – Kazakhstan’s Agency for Protection and Development of Competition has imposed a 4.4 billion tenge fine on Almaty Power Stations (AlES) for abusing its dominant market position, the antitrust regulator said in a statement.
